Big Business, no overhead!

Sunday may be a rest for most but it was a work day for my client actress Tracey Bregman and I as we went through media from the previous day's shoot.

This Malibu PR Gal had a crew two levels deep in behind the scenes to capture all the important moments of Tracey's first shoot for her new jewelry line to be released soon.

So we cozied up at Tracey's house, laptop to laptop, iphone to iphone and handled our big business ... with no overhead!

"Face" Time with PR COUTURE

This Malibu PR gal got some love from Crosby Norwick's wildly popular site PR COUTURE today.

Thanks for the love Crosby!

How we do

Life as a Malibu P.R. gal definitely doesn't suck. Meetings are mostly with an ocean view.

Yesterday, was no exception when I visited the location for an upcoming shoot, a friend's Tuscan estate
with expansive views of the pacific ocean.

The weather, over the top amazing, allowing for a poolside pow wow.

Life may be a bitch, but it's definitely to die for!

Be a Malibu Boho Goddess

Coachella - Festival of fashion???

Whew.

We're half way through Coachella.

Hopefully, I made myself very clear last week when I was bombarded with inquiries as to whether I was going to the "fiesta of fashion".

Why on earth would I want to do that?

 Malibu IS Coachella.

It's the Four Seasons of Coachella.

Fashion bloggers have been feverishly instagraming copius amounts of crochet and the flagrant misuse of aztec prints all weekend.

Yawn.

You would have to break out the vintage YSL or Tom Ford for Gucci to get my attention.

Besides, why on earth would I want to suffer through dirt and dehydration to see rock stars I see everyday at the grocery store???

While major fashion brands are wasting tens of thousands and setting up VIP tents, putting a new ( ? ) spin on their "capsule collections"...

For what? I meeeaaan it's cute, but this is just regurgitated punk/rock/boho. Throwing a bunch of patterns, designs and studs together is hardly a "collection". In fact, it's a complete a complete clusterfuck.

Coachella is definitely losing it's festival "fashion" factor and there is a very slim chance that their version of 're-branding' punk/rock/boho will continue to be cool - on any level.

So, you can imagine why I would never voluntarily go to the desert unless it involved a comped room at the Colony Palms Hotel and a fat paycheck ( not to mention two interns I would send to the fairgrounds to Instagram the insanity while I sipped cocktails by the pool - negotiating the real deals ).

As thousands descend upon the Inland Empire for weekend #2 of Coachella 2013,  all I can really think of is how boho is about to go soooooo wrong.

However, years of therapy has taught me how to forgive.

This is called being "aware".

That being said, I am forced to make exceptions sometimes.

So, when your extremely unflattering "festival fashion" photo shows up on Google after a drunken Coachella rager, please don't ask me for sympathy, instead
remember - Coachella is for kids - who don't get COUTURE.

Get it?

It's all in the definition

To celebrate my daughter's birthday this week, I could not think of a better way to honor her than to post her original, copy written definition of a DOUCHEBAG TOOL that was carefully crafted after a few scandalous and skanky women dared to come to town and mess with her mom.

Needless to say, they left and are never to return.

Tatum is majoring in communications and is a consistent member of her university's Dean's List.

All I can say is ENJOY!

"A douchebag tool, is a simple, yet unique personality trait that combines douche-y and tool-esque qualities together into a creation which enhances both qualities into a socially fatal cocktail of douche. A douchebag, mooches off of the humor, intelligence, and creativity of others, in such a flamboyant, narcissistic, and self-righteous manner, that it provides a false sense of accomplishment for that douchebag, which in turn, is found appealing by SCORES of other douchebags. This catches the eye of the SUPER douchebags, who then implement the moronic douchebags for their own personal gain, rendering them tools. The difference between a regular tool, and a douchebag tool, is that, once the SUPER douchebags have fully exploited the douchebag tools, they realize that the douchebag tool is merely a douchebag, and bails promptly from the situation, while a tool, has the potential to stick around because...at least there aren't a douchebag.

Examples include- the entire Kardashian Family, Sarah Palin, Jimmy Fallon, Manny Rodriguez, Kanye West, Jessica Simpson, John Mayer, Lady Gaga (who's a specialized tool: Madonna knock-off tool; that particular type of tool has been scarce in number for many years), anybody who's been on the Bachelor, and a plentiful plethora of those in or around the vicinity of Malibu; especially those who don't LIVE here. "

Happy Birthday Tatum! Love you!
